The Award of Excellence presented to Mary Matero by REALTOR.com
Last month I attended a Real Estate Marketing and Technology Seminar at the Shores Resort and Spa in beautiful Daytona Beach Shores. The event was sponsored by the grand daddy of all real estate websites REALTOR.com. Participants were introduced to several new technology tools now available for use by real estate agents. Understanding that most people begin their search for a new home on the internet, it is important for us to use the tools available to show each property in its best light. The consumers want photos, they want virtual tours, detailed property descriptions and even video tours. The homes with the most information get the most attention. It is what the buyers (and sellers) want to see.
REALTOR.com has a program called The Award of Excellence. It was created to recognize the top real estate agents across the country who consistently provide great marketing services on behalf of their buyers and sellers. As part of the Real Estate Marketing and Technology Seminar a few local agents were chosen to be recipients. The agents who received the award "distinguish themselves by doing more for their customers. By displaying more photos, crafting better descriptions or adding a full motion video, more attention is brought to the unique selling attributes of a home making it stand out from competing properties and ultimately helping to attract more qualified buyers." I was honored to be selected as one of the local award recipients. My award certificate was presented to me by Max Pigman, one of our featured speakers, a Vice President at REALTOR.com
